Whychus Footbridge Tie is an easy, short hike in the Sisters Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, about 1.4 miles long with a total climb of about 46 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced, with horses and bikes both allowed. The route is an out-and-back that starts and ends near the same elevation, with the high point at about 3,252 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.3 miles in, with a grade of about 2 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sisters show July highs around 86°F and lows near 43°F, while September cools to highs around 76°F. The Five Pine Connector lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Peterson Ridge Trail West and the Brain Boulder climbing area are each about 0.4 mile off. Whychus Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 2.6 miles away.
