Water Line Trail is a short, easy hike in Forest Park, a city-managed area in Oregon. The trail is about 0.7 miles long and rises roughly 200 feet from its starting point, which sits at about 940 feet. The route is an out-and-back, and the total climb for the round trip is about 430 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 81 to 82°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs near 50°F and rain on most days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Wildwood Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Tolinda Trail and Cannon Trail are each about 0.3 mile off. Northwest Leif Erikson Drive, a mountain biking route, is about 0.2 mile away.
