Surveyor's Ridge Trail #688 is a short, easy hike in the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, about 6.4 miles from the town of Parkdale. The trail is an out-and-back, roughly 0.74 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 116 feet. The route starts at about 4,194 feet and reaches a high point of about 4,211 feet before returning to the starting point. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 69 to 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. Several other outings sit close by. The Surveyors Ridge hike is about 1.1 miles away, and the Super Duper Connector is about 1.2 miles away.
