Roundabout is a 6.7-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest, within the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District. The trail is managed by the Forest Service, and the route starts and ends at roughly 4,170 feet, climbing to a high point of 4,390 feet. The climb is rated hard. The trail's surface is natural, and bikes are allowed. Horses are not. The route gains about 595 feet in total, with the steepest stretch at about 0.88 miles in, where the grade reaches 9 percent. The round trip takes about 2.5 hours. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sunriver weather station put July highs around 84°F and lows near 41°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 40°F and lows near 20°F. Several trails sit close by. Sunriver Horse is about 0.1 mile away, and Chain Reaction and Elko Point are each within a mile. The Deschutes River Trail lies about 1.2 miles off.
