Benham Falls Overlook is an easy, short walk in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest, within the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District. The route starts at the Benham West Trailhead and covers about 0.3 miles in an out-and-back shape. The trail rises to about 4,174 feet from a starting point near 4,167 feet, with a total climb and descent of about 40 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail's natural surface carries bikes. Horses are not allowed. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Sunriver weather station show June highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F, with July and August warming to the mid-80s. The overlook opens from June 1 to October 31, and the walk takes about half an hour. The Deschutes River Trail lies about 0.9 miles away, and Elko Point is about 2.6 miles off. Climbers can find the Meadow Camp climbing area roughly 4.7 miles away, and the Big River campground is about 9.4 miles away.
