Ridge Walker is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Oregon, about 3.5 miles from the town of Lewisburg. The trail is 0.64 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 643 feet, and it reaches a high point of 940 feet. The climb is steepest near the start, with a 24% grade at about 0.11 miles in, and the route is rated easy. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Corvallis show July and August highs in the low 80s with only about three wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the upper 40s and rain on most days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The hike takes about half an hour.
