Pinnacle Ridge is an easy out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mount Hood Wilderness, within the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and sits at about 4,120 feet, with a high point of 4,691 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about a mile in, and the total round-trip gain is 797 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. The trip takes about an hour. Pinnacle Ridge Trail #630 and Elk Cove are both about 0.8 miles away. Kinni Kinnik Campground is about 2.1 miles off, and Clear Branch, a canoeing spot, is about 1.5 miles away.
