Peewee's Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Oregon, about 1.5 miles from the community of South Beach. The trail is just under a mile long, with a total elevation gain of about 87 feet, and it reaches a high point of about 300 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at the start, and the trail returns to its starting elevation of about 240 feet. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late summer into early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Newport show September highs around 66°F with lows near 49°F, and July and August highs around 64°F. That station sits about 290 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. The hike takes about half an hour, and it makes an easy pairing with other short walks in the area. Simple Jack Trail is about 0.2 miles away, Meadows Trail about 0.3 miles, and Ballfield Trail about 0.4 miles. For time on the water, Depot Slough is about 5 miles off.
