Old Mill Nature Trail is a short, easy loop on Bureau of Land Management land in Oregon's Nw Oregon Cascades Field Office, about 0.4 miles long and roughly 1200 feet in elevation. The trail is a flat, low-impact walk with no net gain, and the highest point on the loop is just 1218 feet, about 16 feet above the lowest. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs in the upper 70s with only five or six wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on most days. The trail sits close to several other outings. Wildwood Site Trail is about 0.1 mile away, and the Trail to Salmon River and Wildwood Recreation Site are each about 0.2 mile off. Climbers can head to Hunchback Wall, about 2.6 miles away.
