The Molalla-Huckleberry Trail is a 3.4-mile moderate hike on Bureau of Land Management land in the Nw Oregon Cascades Field Office, about 12 miles from Molalla, Oregon. The trail is an out-and-back, and the round trip covers about 6.7 miles with a total elevation gain of about 390 feet. The route starts at roughly 1,170 feet and reaches a high point of about 1,170 feet, so the climb is mostly a gentle one. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.6 miles in, with a grade of about 23 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Silver Creek Falls weather station show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs sit in the low 40s. Horses are allowed on the trail. Several other short hikes start within a quarter mile, including the Molalla-Yellow Gate Road Trail and the Molalla-Red Vole Road Trail. Cedar Grove Campground is about 1.2 miles away, and Three Bears Campground is about 2 miles away.
