Link 'N' Pin is an easy out-and-back hike in L.L. "Stub" Stewart State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. The trail is about 1.7 miles long and rises about 213 feet from its low point at 985 feet to a high of 1164 feet, making it a short climb with no steep stretches. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Vernonia run from highs around 77°F in July to about 73°F in September, with only four or so wet days a month in July and August. That station sits roughly 540 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the path run a bit cooler. The Shoofly hike and the Lokie's Lollipop mountain biking trail both lie about 0.1 mile away. Jackstrawed Tarry is about 0.2 mile off. Paddlers can find the Nehalem River canoeing about 6.9 miles away.
