Huxley Lake Trail #521 is a 2.7-mile point-to-point hike in Oregon's Roaring River Wilderness, part of the Clackamas River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest. The trail climbs from about 2,500 feet to 3,958 feet, a steady gain of 1,640 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is open to horses. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. The hike takes about 1.5 hours. Roaring River and Sunstrip campgrounds sit about 2 miles away, and the Corral Springs Trail #507 is a similar distance. Paddlers can reach the North Fork Clackamas River about 4.7 miles off.
