Hayride is an easy out-and-back hike in Moore Park, a city-managed parcel in Oregon. The route is about a mile long, with a round-trip elevation gain of about 260 feet, so it makes a quick addition to a day spent exploring the park's network of short trails. The climb starts at about 4,300 feet and reaches a high point of around 4,365 feet. The steepest part, a grade of about 9%, comes in the first 0.13 miles, after which the trail eases. Late summer into early fall is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Klamath Falls show September highs around 77°F with lows near 39°F, while July and August climb into the mid-80s. Winter is much colder, with January highs around 41°F. The hike takes about half an hour. It sits within a cluster of trails, including Blueberry and Eulalona Trail about 0.1 mile away, and Sawmill Trail and Sidewinder about 0.2 mile away.
