Goodman Creek is a 4-mile out-and-back hike in the Middle Fork Ranger District of Oregon's Willamette National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 1,035 feet to 1,692 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,680 feet over the round trip. The climb is steepest near the start, with a 23% grade at about 0.67 miles. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 80°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the upper 40s and rain on most days. That station sits roughly 980 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The route is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes. The trip takes about two hours, and the trail is open year-round. For more time on foot, Lost Creek and Eagle's Rest are both within about 2 miles. Climbers can find (K) Overstory Wall and (H) Studio about 1.7 miles away.
