Florence Cut-Off is a 2.8-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Kalmiopsis Wilderness, within the Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and rated easy, with a total elevation gain of 547 feet. The route starts at about 3,142 feet and reaches a high point of 3,179 feet, with the steepest stretch at 0.27 miles in, where the grade reaches 27%. Horses are allowed, and the trail is natural-surfaced. Bikes are not permitted, and the trail is not accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sexton Summit show July and August highs around 77°F with only about two wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on roughly half the days. The trail is open year-round. Florence Way lies about a mile away, and Pine Flat Way is about 1.6 miles off. For paddling, Silver Creek and Klondike Creek are both about 4.3 miles away.
