Florence Way is a 6.2-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Kalmiopsis Wilderness, within the Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests. The trail climbs from about 690 feet to 3,831 feet, with a total elevation gain of 6,607 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 2.5 miles in, where the grade reaches 43%. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated hard. The trail is natural-surface and allows horses, but not bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Sexton Summit weather station, at nearly the same elevation as the high point, show July and August highs around 77°F with only about two wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on roughly half the days. Florence Cut-Off lies about a mile away, and Pine Flat Way and Mud Springs are within 3 miles. For paddling, Silver Creek is about 3.5 miles off.
