Fall River is a 6.6-mile out-and-back hike in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated hard, and the route rises about 52 feet from a low point of 4,240 feet to a high of 4,283 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 2.9 miles, with a 3% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Wickiup Dam weather station show July highs around 83°F with lows near 47°F and only about three wet days, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and rain on roughly 13 days a month. The Fall River Guard Station campground sits just 0.1 mile away, and Fall River Campground is about 0.7 mile off.
