Buzzard is a short, easy out-and-back hike in southern Oregon, about 1.7 miles from Klamath Falls. The route is 1.2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 552 feet, and it reaches a high point of 4,845 feet. The climb is rolling, and the steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.22 miles in, with a grade of 19 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June through September. At a nearby weather station in Klamath Falls, typical averages run from highs around 76°F in June to about 86°F in July, with only two or three wet days a month in midsummer. That station sits roughly 760 feet lower than the high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The hike takes about half an hour to complete. Tunnel of Love and Meathook both start about 0.1 mile away, and Enduro is about 0.2 mile off. For climbing, Cougar Rock Boulders lies about 5.8 miles away.
