The Archery hike is a short, easy out-and-back trail in southern Oregon, about 1.7 miles from Klamath Falls. The route is roughly a mile long, with a one-way climb of about 250 feet from the start at about 4,405 feet to the high point at about 4,670 feet. The steepest stretch, a 34% grade, comes around 0.2 miles in, so the climb isn't long or too punishing. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Klamath Falls show May highs around 67°F and September highs around 77°F, with fewer wet days in the summer months. That station sits several hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run a little cooler. Several other hikes start close by. Klamath Ridgeview is about 0.1 mile away, and Express Lane, Up and Over and Big Sky are each within about a third of a mile.
