Breezy Point is a short, easy hike in Oregon's Three Sisters Wilderness, within the McKenzie River Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail starts at about 5,515 feet, reaching a high point of 5,658 feet before returning to the starting point. It's a front-loaded climb, with the steepest stretch at about 0.47 miles in, and the total gain is about 228 feet for the round trip. The route is natural-surfaced and allows horses, and bikes are not permitted. That makes it a practical choice for a horseback ride as well as a foot hike. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 83°F with only about three wet days, while temperatures at the higher trail run cooler than that station's figures. Winters are cold, with January highs near 40°F and lows around 21°F. Red Hill lies just 0.1 mile away, and Sunset Lake and Horse Creek Trail #3514 are both within about 1.5 miles. Elk Lake Campground, roughly 3.3 miles off, is the closest place to camp.
