Twin Lakes Campground

Twin Lakes Campground is a small, minimally developed Forest Service site on the southern edge of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and the southeast edge of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, within the Whitman Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. It sits at the edge of the wilderness and recreation area, making it a natural base for visitors heading into either. The site is popular with anglers who fish on the boardwalks along Twin Lakes, and with hikers and campers who want to relax in the summer and fall. Trail #1874 starts from the campground and passes through remnants of an old burn area. Vault toilets are the only amenity on site, and a fee is charged for stays. The closest neighbors are Fish Lake Campground, about 2.7 miles away, and Indian Crossing Campground, about 3 miles off. The Imnaha River, a paddling route, lies about 4.1 miles away.
