Nook Bar is a Forest Service campground in the Gold Beach Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in Oregon. It sits among a cluster of similar campgrounds, with Redwood Bar about a mile away and Miller Bar roughly 1.6 miles off. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Brookings show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-50s and rain on 17 to 19 days. A fee is charged for recreation at this site. Plan on a short drive to the nearest town, and pair your stay with a hike on the Redwood Nature trail, about 2.8 miles away, or a canoe trip on the North Fork Chetco River, roughly 5.6 miles off.
