Mineral Forest Camp is a Forest Service campground in the Cottage Grove Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest. It is a simple, low-service site with vault toilets and no fees for its facilities. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Oakridge Fish Hatchery show July and August highs in the low 80s with only two or three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on more than half the days. Several trails start right at the camp. Fairview Creek and Hardscrabble Ridge are both about a tenth of a mile away. Bohemia Mountain is roughly 2.8 miles off, and Crawfish Lake Shelter offers another campground about 3 miles away.
