McBride Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Whitman Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. It sits within the national forest's boundaries, and the nearest town is Joseph, about 29 miles away. The site is a simple base for overnight stays. Vault toilets are the only listed amenity, and a fee is charged for use. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Joseph weather station show July and August highs around 79 to 80°F with only five or six wet days a month, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Eagle Forks Campground is about 3.6 miles away. Eagle Creek, a canoeing route, is about 5 miles off, and the Cornucopia Trail #1868 and Pine Lakes Trail are both within about 7 miles.
