Greybeard Boulders is a bouldering area in North Carolina, about half a mile from the town of Montreat. The name itself points to the type of climbing here: seven boulder problems sit within the cluster, all rated V0 through V3- on the V scale. The closest neighbors are the Lower Piney Trail and Rocky Head, both within half a mile. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run highs around 67°F in April and 68°F in October, with July peaking near 84°F and winter lows around 28°F. The boulders make an easy addition to a walk in the area. Rocky Head is just 0.5 mile away, and the Lower Piney Trail starts about 0.2 mile off. Paddlers can find the North Fork Swannanoa River about 3 miles away.
