Snake Hole Left is a bouldering area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Army Rampart and Alexander Hamilton each about 0.1 mile away, and D J E A at the same distance. The White Diamond Trail is about 0.2 mile off, so the park's hiking routes are close at hand. The climbing here is all bouldering, with seven routes spread across the V0 to V6 range. Ekans is the easiest at V0, and Railbender is the hardest at V6. The median grade is V3, so the area offers a range from beginner to more advanced boulders. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 84°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the park, so temperatures on the boulders may run slightly cooler. Beyond the park, the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles away, and Monksville Reservoir is roughly 8 miles off.
