Alexander Hamilton is a climbing area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among several other climbing areas, including Army Rampart and Strategic Air Command, each about 0.1 mile away, and History of Flight: Lower tier, also about 0.1 mile off. The White Diamond Trail is about 0.2 mile away for a walk. The area has six routes, four of which are sport and two are mixed. Grades run from 5.0 to 5.10c, with the median around 5.9+. The routes include Alexander, Hamilton and Gut Truck, with the latter the hardest at 5.10c. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the park, so temperatures on the rock may run slightly cooler.
