Peterskill is a climbing area within Minnewaska State Park Preserve in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of named climbing areas, including k. Oops Wall, j. Scrotum Pole/Drive in Area, m. Crevice right, and Psycho Wall, all about 0.1 mile away, and i. Terror Dome, also about 0.1 mile off. For comfortable weather, late spring through early fall works best. Typical averages from the nearby Mohonk Lake weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 73°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Winter is cold, with January highs near 34°F and several snowy days each month from December through February. Hikers can pair a climbing day with the High Peter's Kill Trail, about half a mile away, or King's Lane, Trapps Trail and Millbrook Ridge Trail, all within about a mile.
