Long Play Wall

Long Play Wall is a climbing area in the Wilcox Lake Wild Forest in New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, including Measles Walls, Upper Measles Wall and Over The Measles Wall, all within about a tenth of a mile. Crane Mountain Path is also close by. The area is a traditional climbing spot with seven routes, all rated between 5.6 and 5.10a on the YDS scale. The hardest is Long Play at 5.10a, and the easiest is Big Man's Bane at 5.6. Most of the routes were first climbed in 2010 and 2011. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run to a high of 75°F and a low of 54°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s.
