Overlook Loop is a short, easy hike of about 0.9 miles on Open Space Institute Land in New York, managed by a non-governmental organization. The trail rises from about 450 feet to about 590 feet, with a total climb of 194 feet and a steepest stretch of about 22% grade near the start. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Bikes and horses are not allowed on this trail. Hidden Valley Loop is about 0.3 miles away, and Tea Town Boulders, a climbing area, is about 0.4 miles off. White Trail and Vernay Lakeside are both within about half a mile.
