Chestnut Hill Trail is a short, easy hike on County of Westchester land in New York, about 0.34 miles long. It sits on land managed by the county, and the climb is gentle, with a total gain of about 47 feet and a loss of about 86 feet across its short length. The trail is rated easy, and the route is mostly flat, with the steepest stretch at about 9 percent grade near the 0.22-mile mark. Horses are allowed, and bikes are not. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 74°F. That station sits about 320 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. Teatown-Kitchawan Trail and Old Barn Trail are both about 0.4 miles away, and Ledge Trail is about 0.7 miles off. Tea Town Boulders, a climbing area, is about 2 miles away.
