Hermit's Grave Trail is a short, easy loop in V. Everit Macy County Park in New York, on county land about 0.4 miles long. The trail rises from a low point of 284 feet to a high of 419 feet, with a total climb of 90 feet and a total descent of 157 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.15 miles in, with a 10% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Dobbs Ferry-Ardsley show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with July peaking near 86°F. The Red Loop is about 0.2 miles away, and the V.E. Macy Park climbing area is about 0.3 miles off. The Yellow Trail and the Ravine Trail are both within about a mile.
