Haystack Brook Trail is a 1.6-mile moderate hike in New York, about 7 miles from the town of Saint Huberts. The route is a point-to-point climb, starting at roughly 2,914 feet and rising to about 4,014 feet, with a total gain of 1,103 feet. The steepest stretch comes at the end, near the top, where the grade reaches about 35%. The trail is not open to bikes or horses, so plan on walking it. Several other routes sit within about a mile, including South Haystack Trail, Bartlett Ridge Trail and Haystack Trail. Climbers can find Panther Gorge about 1.6 miles away.
