The North End is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Socorro Field Office in New Mexico, about 7 miles from the town of Socorro. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, including Corner Block, Red Wall and East Side, all within about a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is sport-oriented, with 16 sport routes and one trad route among the 17 listed. Grades run from 5.7+ up to 5.12, with the median around 5.10+. Some of the named routes are King Kong (5.7+), Mycor (5.11) and Micor (5.12). Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Socorro show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 73°F, while July and August average highs near 91°F and bring the most wet days of the year. For a change from the rock, Box Canyon Rd is a hike about 0.3 miles away, and Water Canyon Campground is about 8 miles off.
