Filet de Papillon Wall, also known as Dirt Wall, is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Socorro Field Office in New Mexico. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Ultimate Boulder, The Gimmes and Waterfall Wall/Underhang all about 0.1 mile away. The area is a sport climbing destination, with 23 sport routes and one boulder problem. Grades run from 5.8 up to 5.13d, and the hardest route, The Deputy, was first climbed by Timy Fairfield. The boulder problem at Waterfall Wall/Underhang is the only one in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Socorro show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 73°F, while July and August average highs near 91°F with more wet days. Water Canyon Campground is about 8 miles away for anyone planning an overnight stay.
