Yucca Loop is a short, easy loop hike on city land in the City of Albuquerque 1, about 1.3 miles from the town of Carnuel, New Mexico. The route is 0.41 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 49 feet, so it's a low-effort outing that fits easily into a longer day of exploring the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 68°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 11 each month. The loop sits close to several other spots. Super Rock, a climbing area, is just 0.1 mile away, and the Powerline Route and Hilldale Loop hikes are each about half a mile off. Carnuel Crag, another climbing area, is roughly 0.6 mile away.
