Mano Eye of the Sandias Link is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness, part of the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and runs about half a mile, with a total elevation gain of 226 feet from a low point of 6,902 feet to a high of 7,149 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sandia Park weather station, at a similar elevation, show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with lows in the low 40s. Several other routes sit close by. Eye of the Sandias to Embudo is about half a mile away, and the U Mound Eye of the Sandias Link is about 0.7 miles off. Climbers can head to Switchback Boulder, roughly 0.8 miles away, and the Embudo Bypass is about 0.9 miles from the link.
