Meadow Ridge is an easy out-and-back hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 2 miles long, with a low point of 7,274 feet and a high of 7,470 feet, so the climb is a gentle one of about 107 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the Sandia Park weather station, about 11 miles away, show May highs near 73°F and September highs near 77°F, with lows in the 40s. That station sits roughly 440 feet lower than the ridge, so temperatures up top run a little cooler. Several other trails start within a tenth of a mile, including Lone Pine, Cedro Singletrack and Meadow Singletrack. Climbers can find Bouldering Cave about 2 miles away.
