Cresta Trail (258) is a short, easy hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.4 miles long and rises roughly 47 feet from its low point at 7,217 feet to a high of 7,269 feet, making it a quick out-and-back. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from the nearby Sandia Park weather station run to highs around 73°F in May and 77°F in September, with July and August highs near 83°F. Several other trails sit close by.
