Cdt is a 5-mile out-and-back hike on the Silver City Ranger District of Gila National Forest in southwest New Mexico. The route gains about 1,391 feet, from a low point of 7,522 feet to a high of 8,811 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land. The Black Range Crest Trail #79 lies about 1.7 miles away, and the Royal John Mine Road is about 1.9 miles off. Iron Creek Campground, roughly 4.2 miles from the trail, is the closest place to camp. For time on the water, the Mimbres River offers canoeing about 9 miles away.
