Brannan Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in New Mexico, set on county land within the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest. The trail runs about 1.8 miles round trip, with a low point of 7,192 feet and a high of 7,492 feet, and it sits on Sedillo Ridge. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September. Typical averages from the Sandia Park weather station, about 12 miles away, show May highs near 73°F and September highs near 77°F, with lows in the low to mid 40s. Winter is cold, with January highs around 44°F and lows near 19°F. The Juan Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Rollercoaster Trail and Dog Run South are within a mile. Climbers can find the Big Block area about 3.7 miles off.
