Abbey Alley Trail is a short, easy hike in New Mexico, about half a mile from the town of Forest Park. The trail is an out-and-back, roughly 0.6 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 156 feet from a low point of 6,824 feet to a high of 6,995 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sandia Park weather station show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with lows in the low 40s. Several other trails start close by. Jonesey's Jaunt, Juniper Spur Trail and Meadow Trail are each about 0.1 mile away, and Mud Spring Loop Trail is about 0.2 mile off.
