Upland Trail is a short, easy hike in southern New Hampshire, about a mile from the village of Perham Corner. The trail is an out-and-back, roughly 1.1 miles long, with a total climb of about 180 feet. The route is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch near the start, and the high point sits at about 430 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Milford show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 73°F, while July averages about 83°F and January highs sit near 33°F. Purgatory Brook Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Purgatory Falls, a climbing area, is about 0.3 mile off. Mountain bikers can head to Old Dow Road Trail, about a mile away, or View Loop, roughly 1.4 miles away.
