The Triad is a climbing area in the Rainbow Mountain Wilderness of Nevada, within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management. It sits in the BLM's own wilderness unit, which it manages alongside the surrounding public land. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F with lows near 47°F and October highs around 75°F with lows near 50°F. That station sits several hundred feet lower than the Triad, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. The Triad's neighbors include Cactus Flower Tower, a climbing area just 0.1 mile away, and N Oak Creek Canyon, a hike of the same distance. Blood Wall and Solar Slab - Lower Tier, both about 0.2 mile off, round out the options for climbers.
