The Robbery Wall is a climbing area in Nevada's Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits among a cluster of climbing spots and trails, with Robber's Roost, the Den of Thieves Area and Burglar Wall all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all sport, and the routes run from about 5.10a up to 5.14a. Banditissimo is the easiest at 5.10a, and Glory Crack and Jesus Called Me a Dick are among the harder ones, at 5.13c and 5.14a. Highway Man, a 5.12a, was first climbed by Dan McQuade, and Joe Dirt, a 5.12d, by Dale Snyder. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Charleston show July highs around 79°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs sit in the mid-40s. That station sits about 767 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the wall run cooler. The Robber's Roost Trail and the Link Trail are both within a quarter mile, and Hilltop and Mahogany Grove campgrounds are each about 0.7 mile away.
