Pixie is a short mountain biking route in Nevada's Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the climb is just 0.08 miles long, rising from about 7,958 feet to about 8,031 feet with a total gain of 74 feet. It is a quick, low-elevation ride that fits easily into a day spent exploring the surrounding trails and climbing areas. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Charleston show July highs around 79°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs sit in the mid-40s. That station sits about 570 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures on the climb run a little cooler. The Percocet Trail and Hike-A-Bike both start about 0.2 miles away, and the Tin Can hike is a similar distance off. Robber's Roost, a climbing area, lies about 0.4 miles away.
