Den of Thieves Area is a climbing area in Nevada's Mt. Charleston Wilderness, part of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land. The area is a cluster of sport routes, with grades ranging from 5.8 up to 5.11c. Among the named routes are Den of Thieves at 5.11c and Big Flake at 5.8, and The Harder They Fall at 5.11b. The name "Den of Thieves" also appears as a route title. The area sits right beside Burglar Wall and Robber's Roost, so the climbing here is part of a larger grouping of walls and crags. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-40s. That station sits about 900 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Nearby, Hilltop and Mahogany Grove campgrounds are under a mile away. The Link Trail starts about 0.2 miles off.
