Cactus Flower Tower is a climbing area in Nevada's Rainbow Mountain Wilderness, within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with The Triad and Blood Wall just 0.1 mile away and Cactus Flower Tower Summit 0.2 mile away, making this a compact, interconnected corner of the desert. The area falls under BLM management in wilderness, so expect it to be remote and rugged. For a taste of the climbing on offer, two routes stand out: League of Notions at 5.9 and Eliminator at 5.11d, both traditional climbs. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 70°F in April to 75°F in October, while July and August average highs in the mid-90s. That station sits about 1,600 feet lower than the tower, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Triad and Blood Wall are the closest climbing areas, and the N Oak Creek Canyon hike is 0.3 mile away. For overnight stays, Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 6 miles off.
