It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Black Velvet Canyon Boulders and North Face just 0.1 mile away and The Library 0.2 mile off. That puts it well within reach of other named areas in the same stretch of the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. The climbing here is all trad, with 13 routes ranging from 5.8+ to 5.12b. The hardest of them is K-Day, a 5.12b line first climbed by Paul Van Betten and Jay Smith in 1990. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 70°F in April and 75°F in October, while July highs average 95°F.
