Valley is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Nevada's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The route is about 1.2 miles long, with a total climb of about 55 feet. The high point is 3,844 feet, and the steepest section comes around 0.5 miles in, with a grade of about 3 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs near 70°F with lows around 47°F in April to highs near 75°F and lows around 50°F in October, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The hike takes about half an hour. The closest neighbors are the Red Rock Legacy Trail, half a mile away, and the Arnight Trail at about 0.9 miles. Climbers can head to Red Rock Bouldering, about 1.2 miles off, and Red Rock Canyon Campground sits roughly 3.9 miles away.
